Nicole is a versatile creative with over 15 years experience in London’s fashion Industry. After graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a BA Hons in Fashion Design she re-located to London to work for Marie Claire Magazine. Over 9 years she worked her way up the ranks in the fashion department, styling, directing and writing fashion stories along with dressing many A list celebrities from Liv Tyler to Simon Cowell. In 2007 she also became the face of Marie Claire TV, reporting from back stage at fashion week, red carpet events and presenting trend master classes and style advice workshops.
Being a well known stylist and face of MCTV Nicole soon began to appear on many T.V. shows giving her expert opinion on fashion such as, The Clothes Show, Jo Malone High St Dreams, Mary Portas Queen of Shops, GMTV, This Morning, 10 Years Younger, Channel 5 News, UK Living Style Secrets and also appeared in an advertisement for media giant Sony.
In August 2010 after 9 amazing years, Nicole decided to move on from Marie Claire and embarked on her freelance career. Since leaving she has held titles as Fashion Director at The Hub and Fashion Editor at Wylde, however currently holds positions at Country & Town House as Contributing Fashion Editor (www.countryandtownhouse.co.uk) and at Phoenix as Fashion Director (www.phoenixmag.co.uk). Alongside these titles she contributes to various other magazines, newspapers and supplements, styling fashion stories, celebrities and giving her expert opinion. Some of these titles include Harpers, L’Officiel, Elle, Glamour, Style, Stylist, Brand, You, My Daily and the Huffington Post.
Working with Elle magazine styling the 2014 Elle Style awards Nicole was responsible for the look of this prestigious event. Styling over 80 people including all front of house staff, waiters, mixologist’s and the Elle house band bespoking and making outfits, while also working with designers to create one off creations for two showgirls.
Alongside her editorial exploits she has worked with a diverse list of commercial clients. These include Chanel styling pre fall fashion shows, Marks and Spencer, Harry Winston, Mint Velvet, Matalan, Monsoon, Arcadia, Adidas, Olay, Head and Shoulders, Universal Records, Sure, Pantene, Jones the Bootmaker, Very.co.uk, House of Garrard, Elemis, Johnathan Aston, Intercontinental Hotels and Gossard to mention a few.
October 2013 saw her collaborate with bespoke shoemaker Upper Street, here she designed a collection of shoes available in 3 heel heights and from sizes 33- 44. Having always struggled to find shoes that actually fit as she has a size 43 foot she thought it was about time this gap in the market was filled. After the success of her 1st collection she embarked on a 2nd ‘Miami Nights’ which was extremely well received and stocked in Wolf and Badger on Dover Street in London.
Not only is Nicole in demand as a stylist but also as a brand ambassador and style guru. Having completed a series of 20 talks in conjunction with Stylist magazine and Mango called ‘Work It’ she travelled around the country advising women how to look their best in the work place. Following this Mary Portas asked her to hold a 2 day seminar to advise her new shop staff on how to become stylists.
She can also be found on High Street retailer’s web sites such as Monsoon talking about top trends, and has previously hosted the makeover stage at National Wedding Show.
Nicole also runs a bespoke personal styling/shopping service for both men and women offering her clients everything from a wardrobe overhaul to personal shopping for specific occasions while also on hand to give trend advice developing each individual’s style.
